Homer Electric Electric Rate Plans

Homer Electric understands that each customer has different energy needs, and, therefore, they offer a variety of residential and business electric rate plans. Residential electric rate plans include Time-of-Use, Tiered and Flat Rate options. Time-of-Use (TOU) rate plans are designed to reward customers who shift their electricity usage to off-peak and non-summer peak hours. Electric usage is rated differently during peak, off-peak and non-summer peak hours and customers can save by using less energy during peak hours. Homer Electric’s Tiered rate plan is designed to reward customers who use electricity efficiently. Customers may only be charged Tier 1 usage rates for the first 500 kWh until they reach Tier 2 rates for usage above 500 kWh. Lastly, Homer Electric offers Flat Rate electric plans, which are simple and don’t require customers to monitor their usage.
